Integrity Payment System’s ROAMpay™ (created in partnership with ROAMdata) is an advanced mobile commerce platform with turnkey and custom apps that enables merchants to sell a product or service safely and easily utilizing a mobile and tablet device. ROAM has grown in popularity among small merchants to such a degree that Visa has selected ROAMdata as their first mobile payment partner.
In the announcement of its selection of ROAMdata, Visa has said it will promote use of ROAM’s devices among merchants to “displace the use of cash globally.” Visa-branded credit cards and debit cards are some of the most used cards in the world, accepted in every corner of the world.
Visa connects consumers, businesses, banks and governments in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. Today, the Visa network spans 14,800 financial institution customers, 1.9 million ATMs, and as of 2012, 2.1 billion Visa cards. Visa does drive global commerce, handling more than 20,000 transactions per second.
Visa’s choice is potentially very beneficial to Integrity Payment Systems, and all of Integrity’s clients who have upgraded to mCommerce through ROAMpay™. Integrity is not only a credit card processor; we are a direct payment institution exclusively offering ROAMpay™ through partnership with ROAMdata.
Payment networks have long set their sights on the benefits of mCommerce, and have been increasing their focus on technology merchants and consumers can use to turn a cell phone or mobile device into a point of sale. When paired with special retailer deals and other consumer incentives, such services could increase transaction volume and provide new revenue streams for the payment networks, banks and merchants.
What the partnership between ROAM and Visa means for you:
- Clients of Integrity can enjoy the benefit of increased sales from ROAM being selected under the Visa Ready program.
- The ROAM deal is Visa’s attempt to defragment, certify and secure the world of phone/dongle-based mobile payment services (so it’ll be safer to use).
- With over 150 phone/dongle based solutions on the market today ROAMdata is the first that Visa is standing behind.
In addition to Visa’s choice of ROAMdata as its first mobile commerce partner, MasterCard has begun rolling out its MasterPass digital wallet, and plans to make it available to U.S. consumers this spring. MasterCard has also endorsed ROAM as a mobile payment solution that meets industry standards and MasterCard best practices.
